Importing Users with CSV

This guide will help you with options around importing Users

The Teamgo import users option has several key functions that will assist you with managing multiple users and their information much easier.

  • Download a CSV template, pre-formatted for use

  • Export CSV user list

  • Import CSV user list

If you already have users in Teamgo, it can be easier to use the Export function and modify that CSV then import again.

If you want to start with a new template, we provide you one to download and use. Follow the format of the CSV then you can import this again.

Once you have completed the required fields and added all your users to the CSV you can then import it again to Teamgo. A very useful tool for managing many users at once.

Note: all functions will require you to have the correct user permissions to access import functions.

The Template will be a CSV file you can open in software like Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or Apple Numbers. The first line in the file is a sample line. The Import page will also show you fields you can use/add to import more useful data like images and assign users to Kiosks etc.

Importing New Users

If you need to add a lot of Users in bulk, importing them using the CSV template would be the way to go. To do that, follow the steps below:

  • Go to the User section.

  • Click the Import Users button at the upper right.

  • Click on the 'Choose File' button, browse to your CSV file, and click the 'Open" button to start the import process. It may take a few minutes for the import to finish.

Note: Please use the CSV template to avoid errors due to unsupported column/column names and other issues. Although the User's full name and email address are the only required fields, ideally, provide as much information as possible to minimize the need to access each User's profile afterward.
